Michael R. Okoye - Attorney
Michael attended the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy and received his Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University in 2003. He spent a year in Japan teaching English before receiving his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 2007.
Michael then worked as a researcher for former President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. He was a member of the Obama-Biden Transition Team and served as Deputy Associate Counsel for Presidential Personnel at The White House. He then was named Special Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Policy and International Affairs at the Department of Energy. Most recently, Michael served as Director of Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School on Hawaii Island.
